Hosting a private class or workshop at The Monocle is as simple as booking and promoting. Renters have access to keys via a key-code lockbox on the street. Visitors are received in a private waiting room with an adjacent (fully renovated) washroom facility/change room. The studio is designed to feel as though you are greeting your clients in your own private studio.
The Monocle Centre for the Arts offers an 800 square foot studio with 3 large south facing windows. The space has a self-controlled furnace in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.
We encourage renters to make the studio feel like their own. However, since we are all sharing one space, we ask that anything that gets moved, simply get returned to its original set-up. All set-up/tear-down time is included within rental time.
Rates start at $50 +HST for 2 hours. Additional hours @$25/hour.

*Allow yourself set-up time. Schedule classes or meetings with clients 15 minutes after your rental time begins to avoid feeling rushed.
